1. If my dog is boarding at AAP while I am staying elsewhere, can I take my dog out for visitation during the day?
Yes, AAP welcomes your visits to pet guests, and allows owners to take your pet out during regular store hours Mon-Fri 8AM-5:30PM, Sat-Sun from 9AM - 4PM. Please note that we may not have visitation on holidays. 

2. Is there an additional fee for my pet’s special diet or giving medication?
AAP understands that many pets have special needs. AAP’s professional caregivers are experienced in administering medication and preparing special meals per your instructions at no additional charge. We do reserve the right to charge for pet's that are difficult to medicate, have multiple medications, or require special medications such as SubQ fluids or insulin. 

3. What if my pet needs emergency care while boarding at AAP?
AAP has 2 Vet Techs on staff and is located directly across the hall from Heritage Animal Hospital. Should your pet need emergency care, their staff is on call 24 hours a day. There are also 2 emergency vet clinics within 20 minutes of our facility. 

4. How do I know my pet received “personal attention” during boarding?
AAP documents each pet guest’s activities in a personal report cards that get emailed each evening. This report includes photos and videos and info on feedings, walks, medication, and playtime with other guests.

5. Can I pickup my pet from boarding on Sunday?
Yes. You may pick up or drop off your pet anytime from 8AM - 4PM on Sundays. 

6. Can my pet have his favorite items from home while boarding?
Yes, pet guests can bring familiar items (toys, blankets, beds, etc.) to make their stay more comfortable.

7. What time in the evening will my dog go out for the last time?
Dog guests’ last potty break of the day will be no earlier than 8:00pm. Few kennels allow a potty break for dogs this late, but we believe it is important for your dog’s comfort to maintain a close consistency with their normal schedule.
