All About Pets opened in 2006 with the mission to provide pets and their owners with an excellent boarding and grooming experience, first class service, and the highest quality and selection of pet products, all at an exceptional value for the customer. AAP is the only facility on Hilton Head Island offering a full line of products and pet services.
AAP developed a niche offering through a small operation that provides personal care for its guests. It has established a reputation on Hilton Head Island for providing the “comforts of home” to its pet guests, with a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment. AAP understands that pet owners need peace of mind when leaving their best friend in the care of someone else. This is a priority objective for AAP, and each staff member is committed to delivering superior service to achieve this goal.
Kent Gochnauer, Owner/Operator, brings extensive business experience to All About Pets, and prioritizes providing value, service, and quality to his customers. His daily presence at AAP ensures a professional, smooth operation, and his friendly personality has created relationships on a first name basis with many clients. Kent’s knowledge of products and exceptional customer service makes AAP the preferred choice of pet owners on the island. He understands the importance of listening to what customers want, regularly meets custom requests, and strives to make every boarding, grooming, and buying experience at AAP successful for pets and their owners.
Anne Thaeder, Kennel Manager, cares for the pets at AAP as if each were her own. Anne and her staff of professional caregivers understand that separation from a pet’s best (human) friend, can cause anxiety for some pets, and strive to combine the “comforts of home” with accommodations that are safe, clean and comfortable, that meals and activities meet each guest’s needs, and both pets and owners have a pleasant experience at AAP. Anne has always been a dog lover, and has raised Cavalier King Charles Spaniels under the Redthea kennel name for more than twenty years. She has also assisted with the training of several Cavaliers to achieve their Championships in AKC and The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club USA.
Donna Underwood, Groomer, is Hilton Head Island’s preferred pet grooming provider. She has a lifelong history of caring for all types of animals, owning most all varieties including sheep, rabbits, cats, dogs, horses and more, and has been an accomplished grooming professional for more than fourteen years. This experience has earned her a reputation for being kind, courteous, knowledgeable, easy to communicate with, trustworthy, and eager to please. Donna enjoys the satisfaction of making a pet look and feel its best, and is comfortable providing a variety of grooming methods best suited to meet each dog’s needs.
